June Event: Trail Work in Manoa
On Saturday, Rosie met up with the Sierra Club and Na Ala Hele once again to do some trail work on Manoa falls, for the second week in a row.
The day started very similarly to last Saturday except the work group was much smaller. Made up of a regular group of Sierra Club volunteers and some of the H.U.R.T. folks, they quickly got to work. It was also National…

Saturday Work Day: Sierra Club
On Saturday, Rosie met up with the Sierra Club and Na Ala Hele to do some trail work on Manoa falls. She hadn’t been back to this trail since running the H.U.R.T. 100 in January and much had changed. The goal of the day was basically to hike out with all of the remnants of a boardwalk and other miscellaneous debris that were removed and just sitting by the side…

Waikalualoko Fishpond Report
Just wanted to keep a quick tally of our HIC work day. Nathan was the sole HIC peep to attend this workday and big thanks to three of Rosie’s best buddies for attending. It was a pre-marathon day of fun for them all and we got a tremendous amount accomplished. We pulled huge amounts of mangrove seedlings and cleared an entire area of the pond.

Naked Cow Dairy Work Day
Saturday November 17, 2012 was the work day on the farm. Megan and Sean arrived at the Naked Cow Dairy at 8am and began by signing a waiver before being given instructions for the day. Ultimately, the farm wanted to clear out an unused area of their farm to make room for planting grass and their chicken coop since eventually they will have a stand to sell the eggs produced…
