Our first and oldest – the Hawaii State Judiciary website was originally launched in 2010. First built in the content management system Alfresco, this site was live for six years before it was migrated in to WordPress in 2015. Throughout the years, we have continued to work closely with the partner on enhancements, including optimizing the site for mobile, which accounts for close to 40% of all site visits.

Access to justice

The Hawaii Courts mobile app brings together tools and resources developed by the Hawaii State Judiciary and other key partners to improve access to justice. Developed in less than two months, it was created to better target our high volume of mobile users. Hawaii was the second statewide judiciary in the country to offer this service to the public.

High volume use

The largest site we’ve built to date, it contains over 1,400 pages, 1,000 posts, and averages 97,000 visits per month.

Search court records

Not just for attorneys, the site can be used across a wide variety of audiences including jurors, the media, and the public to find court forms, read opinions, and even find jobs at the Judiciary. The most popular pages? Ho’ohiki and eCourt Kokua – which can be used to search court records.*

*Ho’ohiki and eCourt Kokua are not services created by Tyler Hawaii.

Award winning

In 2016, the Hawaii State Judiciary was honored to win the Top Court Tech Solutions award in recognition of improved communication, operational efficiencies, and access to justice using web technology.
