The Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) Division of Forestry and Wildlife (DOFAW) has launched an online permitting site for vendors to register and purchase commercial vessel landing (such as kayak tours) permits to DLNR’s offshore island wildlife sanctuaries. The service provides valuable access and protects the natural beauty of the two offshore island wildlife sanctuaries. Well, it’s official… the trophy that has graced our office for the past year is being sent back to corporate today. It’s time to pass the torch to the next leader in volunteering at NIC and we wish them the best. The Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism (DBEDT) has launched the online Tax Credit Research Activity (TCRA) Survey (DBEDT Form 346) at dbedt.hawaii.gov. This online form, to be filed by qualified high technology businesses, was mandated by the Legislature for businesses that want to claim a high tech tax credit.

The Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs’ (DCCA) Insurance Division has launched a mobile device-compatible Insurance Licensing Search at insurance.ehawaii.gov/hils. The webpage was redesigned to be mobile-first responsive and accessible to individuals with an internet browser on their mobile device.
