Hawaii.gov Wins Gold Communicator Award
The Communicator Awards has awarded Hawaii.gov with a Gold Award of Excellence in the 20th Annual Communicator Awards for the redesign of the official website of the State of Hawaii. With over 6,000 entries received from across the US and around the world, the Communicator Awards is the largest and most competitive awards program honoring the creative excellence for communications professionals.
In the spring of 2013, Hawaii Information Consortium worked with the Office of Information Management & Technology to redesign the State portal website. The new Hawaii.gov might just be the coolest government website you have ever seen. The touch-first design, Hawaiian themes, dynamic data and enhanced search represent a huge evolutionary step forward in government web sites. This Communicator Award is the 8th award to be received in honor of Hawaii.gov since it’s release in April 2013.
“We are both excited and amazed by the quality of work received for the 20th Annual Communicator Awards. This year’s class of entries is a true reflection of the progressive and innovative nature of marketing and communications,” noted Linda Day, executive director of the Academy Interactive and Visual Arts. She added, “On behalf of the entire Academy I want to applaud this year’s Communicator Awards entrants and winners for their dedication to perfecting their craft as they continue to push the envelope of creativity.”
