Hawaii Charity Mobile App Now Available

On December 13 of 2013 the Office of the Attorney General Tax & Charities Division officially released the mobile application Hawaii Charity Finder. Hawaii Charity Finder is designed to provide users with on-demand information about charitable organizations registered with the State of Hawaii.

Attorney General David M. Louie said, “We are proud to be the first Attorney General’s Office in the Nation to deploy a Mobile App that will allow donors, the public, and other charity regulators to search Hawaii’s charity registration database. We believe Hawaii continues to be on the forefront of charity regulation and harnessing emerging technologies to allow donors to make more informed giving decisions with their philanthropic dollars.”

The free mobile application is available for Apple and Android smartphones and mobile devices. Users can access the application by downloading Hawaii Charity Finder from the Apple or Android App stores. Users without a mobile device can view an online directory of charitable organizations registered with the State of Hawaii at:  ag.ehawaii.gov/charity.

Both applications were created in partnership with Hawaii Information Consortium, LLC (the Hawaii State Portal Provider).
