EV Stations Hawaii Wins Best Energy Mobile Application

This service was discontinued in January 6, 2020 and is no longer available.

For the second consecutive year, EV Stations Hawaii has been awarded the title of Best Energy Mobile Application by the Web Marketing Association in its annual Mobile Web Awards competition.

In 2012, the Hawaii State Energy Office (HSEO) partnered with the Hawaii Information Consortium, LLC (HIC) and Honolulu Clean Cities (HCC) to create and release EV Stations Hawaii to Apple and Android mobile device users. The mobile application is designed to reduce range anxiety for electric vehicle (EV) drivers by providing EV charging station locations and mapping directions across all four Hawaii counties. In early 2014, HSEO, HIC and HCC reunited to redesign and re-release the mobile app in June 2014.

The Web Marketing Association announced the winners for the 3rd annual Mobile Web Awards Competition on Thursday December 11. The Competition is judged by experienced, objective professionals with an in-depth understanding of the current state-of-art in mobile web development, design, and marketing according to a predefined set of criteria.

EV Stations Hawaii is free and available for users to download on iTunes and Google Play, or by navigating to energy.ehawaii.gov/ev using their mobile browser.
